Sri NCBN keeps up his promise with a historic move!
CBN realized his promise of regularisation of encroached non-objectionable government land below 100 sq yards free of cost. He distributed the house site pattas to 30,562 women at a massive public meeting at Andhra University’s Engineering College Grounds yesterday.
Earlier, the government issued GO 296 to regularise the non-objectionable government land below 100 sq yards occupied by people. The value of occupied land at various places in Visakhapatnam is valued at around Rs. 5,000 crore.
“It is a historic move. The TDP has fulfilled one of its important promises,” CBN said. As many as 67,000 people had applied seeking regularisation of the encroached land and after a scrutiny, 30, 562 beneficiaries were selected.
“Unlike the D-Pattas, these present pattas will be free for any financial transaction or can be sold after two years,” CBN said, while appealing to the beneficiaries not to sell them.
Kudos to the Visakhapatnam district administration for opening 136 counters and engaging some 500 officials to ensure hassle-free distribution of the pattas. Around 3,460 pattas were given to people in the North constituency, 7,040 in West, 6,473 in East, 3,828 pattas in Bheemili, 3,177 in Pendurthi and 6,304 in Gajuwaka.
