The criminalisation of politics by the faction leaders of Kadapa, particularly Pulivendula has come to fore once again. It is now said that the scion of YSR family Y.S Jagan has been the brain behind political muders that rocked the state.
Telugu Desam president, N.Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday demanded a CBI inquiry into the series of killings beginning with that of Paritala Ravi, Maddelacheruvu Suri, Moddu Sreenu and others and the alleged involvement of some political leaders.
At a press conference, Sri Naidu said such an inquiry in a cogent manner has become necessary in the backdrop of the conviction today of Dantuluri Krishna alias Mangali Krishna in the suitcase bomb case and a “close associate” of Kadapa MP, Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy.
The suitcase bomb was aimed at eliminating former TDP MLA, Paritala Ravi. Sri Naidu said the conviction of Krishna, mysterious suicide by G. Masthan Rao and the confessions made by Bhanu Kiran who is accused in Suri's murder on land settlements involving Rs, 800 crore show how mafia was virtually ruling the State under Congress party. He criticised political parties and media for not highlighting these issues.
The TDP president released sheaf of documents from the inquiries made by the SP of CBI into murder of Ravi, in 2005 and summons sent to Mangali Krishna. In one of them, the SP mentions Mangali Krishna as “a neighbour and frontman of Jaganmohan Reddy who intends to take revenge against the killers of his grandfather, Y.S. Raja Reddy.
One Parthasarathy Reddy is the alleged killer, whom Jaganmohan Reddy targeted. Krishna is in contact with Suri for this purpose and in touch with late Chinna Sudarshan, Mallakaluva Ram Mohan Reddy of Red Star. Suri struck a bargain through Krishna to eliminate Ravi and then Parthasarathy Reddy will be tackled…”. He said when the issue of suitcase bomb came up in Assembly on March 19, 2001, the then Home Minister, T. Devender Goud made a statement pointing how Mangali Krishna, conspired to eliminate prominent political leaders of Rayalaseema.
