The Krishna district Telugu Desam president and Mylavaram legislator Devineni Umamaheswar Rao demanded that the government intervene in the issue of the Minister KP Saradhi grabbing the land of M Satya Babu at Jupudi in Krishna district.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday along with Satya Babu, a native of Gudivada, Umamaheswara Rao alleged that the minister had grabbed four acres of prime land which belonged to Satya Babu. He further said that the minister had got the land registered in the name of his son, Nitin Krishna.

The TD leader alleged that the minister and his supporters have also erected fencing for the same land overnight using their influence and force. He asked the District Collector and officials concerned to take action against the minister on charges of land grabbing. He said that they would take up the issue and try to protect Satya Babu’s land.

Satya Babu said that he had purchased one acre of land from Jasti Chalapathi Rao, native of Jupudi beside the national highway. He explained that he had registered the land in the name of his wife Aruna Kumari. They also got Pattadar pass book and title deed on the same land.

He said that he had received compensation from government when the crop failed in the same land. He alleged that the minister got the registration by force and appealed to the District Collector and police to take action against the minister and restore the land to him.
