The medium-to-high intensity blast outside Delhi High Court on Wednesday left at least nine dead and more than 45 people injured.

Following is the chronology of blasts that rocked the national capital since 1997.

May 25, 2011: Minor blast in a car park outside Delhi High Court, no causalities.

September 27, 2008: Three persons killed and 21 injured in a low—intensity blast at Mehrauli flower market near Qutab Minar.

September 13, 2008: At least 25 people killed and over 100 injured in five serial blasts within 45 minutes across Connaught place, Ghaffar market in Karol Bagh and M-Block market of Greater Kailash-I in south Delhi.

April 14, 2006: At least 14 people were injured after two explosions at the courtyard of Jama Masjid in the walled city of Old Delhi.
Death toll in Delhi rises to 11 , 64 injured. Print E-mail

Terror struck Delhi when a powerful bomb blast ripped through a crowded reception area at the entrance to the High Court this morning killing 11 people and injuring atleast 64.

The explosive device was suspected to have been kept in a briefcase outside the High Court compound between Gate No. 4 and 5 and went off at around 10.15 a.m when 100 to 200 litigants were waiting to get passes to enter the premises.

Some lawyers were also present at that time.
